Case Study: East Africa
Activity in the East Africa region has accelerated in the last year driven primarily by the large oil and gas discoveries in Uganda. However there also has been a major yet untested gas discovery offshore Mozambique. Onshore Mozambique has also seen the start of production of the Pande gas field being exported to South Africa.
PDC has identified the region as being one of prime interest and the Company has been active in the region both upstream and downstream for a number
of years. Reflecting this PDC was asked to give a paper on Development Planning of Oil & Gas at the 4th East Africa Petroleum Conference held in Mombasa Kenya in March 2009 (for a copy of this presentation, click on the link on the right hand side). PDC will be presenting another paper at the 5th EAPC to be held in Kampala Uganda February 2011.
