Unconventional Resources

The development of unconventional resources has been seen as a source of securing supply, especially of gas, in large parts of the world.  The success of the development of unconventional oil and gas fields in North America has spurred many other regions to develop their own resources.

At PDC, we have developed a team of engineers, geoscientists and analysts to assist governments, NOC’s, IOC’s and financial institutions to study and develop these resources.

We have the capabilities of assisting in resource exploration, field developments, facility designs and fiscal regime developments.

We have recently utilised these skills to work with Departamento Nacional de Planeación of Colombia to develop the country’s fiscal regime and technical regulations for the development of unconventional resources.

As part of the project, our engineers have carried out conceptual designs of facilities, created production profiles and looked at gas prices to develop a suitable regime.
