Commerciality Study for Ascent Resources
PDC are pleased to announce that it has completed a commerciality study for Ascent Resources on its Petišovci Gas Field in Slovenia. The study includes the development of production profiles for phased development of the field, calculating capital and operating costs estimates and preparation of project economics. This builds upon PDC’s experience of working on tight gas projects and its increasing capabilities of working on unconventional resources.

PDC enjoyed a corporate hospitality event at Ascot Races on Wednesday 15 June. Ascot Racecourse is the world's most famous racecourse, celebrating 300 years and located in Ascot, Berkshire, UK. As well as enjoying the Royal procession, PDC and it's clients got to witness some fantastic horse races.

Recent Due Diligence Projects completed by PDC
1) PDC has assisted a private oil company with a technical due diligence study to acquire oil and gas assets in Italy by providing reservoir engineering input into assessing the assets.
2) PDC has assisted an AIM listed company with a technical due diligence study to acquire assets in Egypt. We provided a multidisciplined team of geoscientists, reservoir engineer and petroleum engineer to assess the assets.

PDC Awarded Contract to Develop Republic of Colombia’s Unconventional Resources
Petroleum Development Consultants are pleased to announce that they have been awarded a contract by Departmento Nacional de Planeacion (National Planning Department) of Colombia to develop the model contract and technical regulations for the development of unconventional resources in Colombia.

PDC Signs contract with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Saudi Arabia
PDC signed a contract with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Saudi Arabia on 1 August 2010 to provide a regulatory framework for the development of natural gas distribution and the LPG market for the residential and commercial sectors in the Kingdom. PDC is associated with the local Saudi law firm Al-Yaquob Attorneys for the project.

PDC signs contract with Energy Community
PDC signed a contract on 23 July 2010 with the Energy Community to carry out a study on Emergency Oil Stocks. The Energy Community covers seven countries in South East Europe being Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and UNMIK. There are also three observer countries: Georgia, Turkey and Ukraine. PDC is associated with the Energy Institute of Croatia for this project. The initial findings of the study are to be presented to the Energy Community’s 2nd Oil Forum in Belgrade, Serbia in November 2010.

PDC Watches Murray at the AEGON Championships
PDC held another successful corporate hospitality event for its clients at the AEGON Tennis Championships 2010 at Queens Tennis in London's South Kensington. Even though the rain called off the games for a short while, guests managed to see the defending champion, Andy Murray, plus Andy Roddick and many others.

PDC launches new advertising campaign
PDC has unveiled its recent advertising campaign with adverts showing in PESGB in the June issue (European issue), July/August issue (UK issue) and September issue (European issue) and the June issue of the SPE Review. PDC has also advertised in the trade show guide for the East Africa Conference run in Nairobi in May 2010. The adverts in the PESGB and SPE Review highlight PDC’s Reserves Auditing/Competent Persons Reporting services. The advert for the EAC highlights PDC’s growing presence in advisory services in East Africa.

On 1 July 2009 PDC held a very successful corporate event at Henley's Royal Regatta 2009. Held at the stunning Temple Island, clients and guests were treated to a champagne and canapés reception followed by a four course Michelin starred lunch.

PDC participates in EAPC'09
David Aron, PDC's Managing Director, took part in the 4th East African Petroleum Conference 2009 (EAPC'09), whose theme was "Enhancing Exploration and Exploitation of Oil and Gas for sustainable Social and Economic Development" which took place in Mombasa, Kenya, from March 11th - 13th, 2009. His talk: 'Development Planning: East Africa Oil & Gas' was part of the Oil and Natural Gas Developments section on Wednesday 11 March and covered the challenges posed for both operators and host governments when planning oil and gas developments.

PDC wins European Investment Bank Contract
PDC announces the signature of a key two year framework contract with the European Investment Bank. This will cover the provision of due diligence services regarding the appraisal and due diligence of investment projects in the oil & gas sector. Sub-sectors included are oil & gas production, transmission and distribution, above and underground storage, liquefied natural gas and oil refining. The first projects to be reviewed by PDC will be a number of gas storage projects vital to secure European gas supplies in the context of recent supply interruptions from Russia.

PDC wins Tanzania contract
PDC is pleased to announce that it has signed
a contract with the Tanzanian regulators EWURA
to provide consultancy services for the implementation of bulk procurement of petroleum products for the Tanzanian local market (see the EastAfrican Newspaper article here, the Tanzania DailyNews article here and Kenya's Sunday Nation article here). The project will require PDC to identify possible alternatives of petroleum products bulk procurement, formulating possible finance mechanisms, determining tender packages and identifying role and obligation of different parties. This award cements PDC’s reputation as a leading provider of services to state organisations globally and in East Africa in particular having worked with both the Ugandan and Kenyan governments.
